My expectations

Hi all!

I am really a bit anxious about this module as I
see myself venturing into something I feel so clueless about. I expect to feel
comfortable using terms like blended learning, ICT, M-learning and how I can
use them effectively in health professions education. I also hope to creatively
design courses and be able to evaluate them using e-learning.

I expect to interact well with my colleagues and
learn from them throughout the module. I am looking forward to an engaging and exciting learning experience

  1. Well, that is a great expectation to have, Ratu. I find that just as I am comfortable using the terminology, more new terms come along. That's what drew me to the field in the first place, the fact that we are never static in this field, there's always a new challenge and it means I am truly a life-long learner!

  2. That is very true for most of us. We are intimidated by new concepts especially when we are expected to move from learning to knowing and then utilizing within a very short window of time. Probably what gives all of us anxiety is not getting to the knowing stage quickly enough...

  3. I am also feeling a bit hesitant but felt much better after doing the readings, it seems less daunting
i guess we have to approach this like other modules, we feel overwhelmed initially then we work our way through it
i look forward to learning with you - marie

  4. Hi Ratu, we're all still finding our feet. I'm finding it useful to regularly read the blogs and trying to better understand what is expected so I can then hopefully achieve it. I look forward to reading your next post! We're all learning together! x

  5. Petula said it well... we are all finding our feet. You may be anxious but that should make you more curious about all these things. Of recent, I have been reading on curiosity and learning, I found that disciplined curiosity 'leads to the development of such habits as persistent search for new understanding. Just be curious!!

  6. I second everyone's motion. Do not despair. The unknown is always scary until it becomes more familiar. We are all learning and the more we read and the more questions we ask, the more we will learn. I have already learnt how to access everyone's blogs simply by asking and am now able to interact with everyone. I know it might seem silly but panic set in last week when I could not remember something so simple.
Love the way you put it Enoch...let's all just be curious!
